Meet Dmitry, owner of BDSart Etsy store. Dmitry has a rare and unique talent- bone carving.
Now, Bones can be an amazing material to work with, allowing you to get a jewelry piece (a ring, a pendent) that has a unique texture- while been incredibly strong, and lighter in weight than metal.
My first thought when I saw this store was… Oh- poor animals! However, I came to learn that while some bone carvers are abusing animals and hurting them- Dmitry is not one of those people. His art is clean- and so is his heart!
Deer and elk shed their antlers antlers every year in late winter or early spring and begin to grow a new set of antlers in spring. No animals were harmed.
